Charlotte has been my home since 1985, when I moved here as a teenager with my family from San Diego, CA. I like to call myself an "almost" native Charlottean. Charlotte is virtually unrecognizable from the city it was back in the 80's, but it is still rare for me to leave the house without running into at least one familiar face as I go about my business in town. We may have turned into a big city but Charlotte still holds that small-town feel that has kept my family and me here for over 30 years.
